Look Who's Kickin' is celebrating its new location with an open house designed to introduce pregnant women and new mommies to businesses that cater to their needs.
The business, which has been open in Lutz for two years, recently moved to Wesley Chapel. Look Who's Kickin' specializes in an array of services for expecting women, including massage, pedicures and 4D ultrasounds.
The open house will take place Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the new location, 2533 Windguard Circle, No. 102.
"We will be celebrating the new location with other baby-minded professionals," said Erica Hoskins, owner of Look Who's Kickin'. "In addition to teaching people about the services available, we will be offering a discount on our 4D Ultrasounds. We are also going to have a lot of door prizes to give away."
A variety of businesses will be at the event showing off what they can offer to area pregnant women including ViaCord, a cord blood banking company, a photographer, a lactation consultant, a chiropractor, a custom-cake maker, a maternity clothing business and more.
Sherri Spaw is a former customer of Hoskins as well as a parent educator for ViaCord. She said she will be at the open house selling maternity clothing and her own line of nursing ponchos. For information about the nursing ponchos, visit victorialaurin.com.
"It is a nice thing to wear while pregnant or breastfeeding," Spaw said. "While I was breastfeeding this summer at the beach, I used it and no one even knew. I am also going to be selling maternity clothing at the shop from now on by appointment only."
Spaw said she went for the 4D Ultrasound when she was 28 and 30 weeks pregnant because she liked the atmosphere and she thought it would be neat for her family. The 4D Ultrasound is a keepsake to help preserve the pregnancy where women will get about a 30-minute ultrasound session with video, a CD full of pictures and some printed photos to take home.
"I used Erica's services because it is a very relaxed, personable atmosphere," said Spaw. "It is not like walking into a salon. It is a place that specialized in pregnant women. I brought in my other three children and my in-laws for the ultrasound and they loved it. They got to see exactly what the baby looked like while he was still in my tummy."
Even though the business lost a small amount of space because of the move, Hoskins said it will still be the same experience just in a different location.
"I also spend two days a week doing diagnostic ultrasounds for an OBGYN," Hoskins said. "I think when you are pregnant you would want to know you are going to someone who knows what they are doing. With me I can identify a problem if there is one and have a doctor contact the woman's physician."
The shop is offering gift certificates.
