Area residents who stop by The Shops at Wiregrass this holiday season will be treated to more than 100 new stores in Wesley Chapel. The outdoor mall has decked itself out for the festivities.
The Symphony in Lights display includes more than 250,000 LED lights choreographed to flash in time with holiday music provided by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The show runs four times a night during the season, every hour on the hour, starting at 6 p.m.
"Symphony in Lights illuminates the night with Tampa's newest holiday tradition, a show that's simply unlike anything that currently exists in the Greater Tampa/St. Pete area," said Greg Lenner, general manager of The Shops at Wiregrass. "The center is trimmed top to bottom with 250,000 LED lights that only take as much energy to run nightly as it takes to light a single home."
In addition to the lights, the shopping center also has trees, wreaths and other holiday displays. Santa Claus is also making appearances. The light show runs nightly through Dec. 31. at the mall, which is on the corner of State Road 56 and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.
