Published: December 31, 2008

A dancer from Class Act strip club in Tampa remained behind bars in Land O' Lakes last week following a Dec. 19 fight that left one victim with a knife wound on his chest.

According to Pasco County Sheriff's Office reports, a group of people spent the night drinking at 1625 Hammocks Ave. in Lutz. Around 11 p.m. a fight broke out between the woman's boyfriend and a neighbor. The woman attempted to break up the fight and was knocked to the ground. The suspect is said to have then entered the home and taken a knife out of the kitchen. She returned outside and told the neighbor to leave.

This is when police reports say the woman cut the neighbor across his chest as he continued to fight with the boyfriend. The suspect then went back into the house, rinsed blood off the knife and put it in the sink, deputies said.

Deputies say the woman admitted to being intoxicated at the time of the incident, but said she was "conscious and fully aware" of her actions.

Arrested was Dawn Marie Barr, 28, of 739 Tuxward Road in Hartley, Del. She was charged with aggravated battery and remained in the Land O' Lakes detention center on $10,000 bond as of press time. Barr's occupation is listed as a dancer at Class Act, 14731 N. Florida Ave., on arrest reports.

Burglar Borrows House, Lands In Jail

A 19-year-old Tampa man was arrested on charges of grand theft and residential burglary after he camped out in the garage of a Wesley Chapel home.

According to Pasco County Sheriff's Office reports, the incident began Dec. 13 when the man broke into a home on White Water Lane through the garage. Deputies said the man spent the night in the garage before he woke up, entered the house, took a shower and stole food.

The suspect returned to the house on Dec. 17 and broke through a side window to gain entry. Once inside, he took several items before leaving. He was arrested and admitted to the burglaries, but broke free from custody and ran into the woods.

Pasco County deputies had to call in air support and K-9s to find the man.

Arrested was Giovany Ramirez, 19, of 7203 Laguna Court in Tampa. He was being held in the Land O' Lakes detention center on burglary, grand theft and escape charges as of press time.
