Video Evidence Burns Lighter Thief

A Land O' Lakes man stands accused of helping himself to $318.60 worth of silver Zippo lighters during a Nov. 10 incident at Circle K, 4737 U.S. 41.
According to Pasco County Sheriff's deputies, a man entered the store around 6 a.m. and took an entire display case, containing eight silver-colored Zippo lighters.
The incident was recorded on the store's surveillance video. The suspect was positively identified by the deputy and a store employee.
Arrested Nov. 13 was Justin Jeremiah Hawks, 24, of 22620 Gage Loop, No. 26, in Land O' Lakes. He was charged with grand theft and subsequently released from the Land O' Lakes detention center on $2,000 bond. Hawks has a number of other arrests on his record, including theft and felony violation of probation.
